We do what we do

A family-owned bike and ski shop on Main Street. We only sell gear for the sports we actually do — and we rent the Bulkley Valley a full cross-country ski fleet.

The motto

We only sell gear for the sports we do

“We Do What We Do” isn't a slogan the shop borrowed. It's the buying rule: bikes, fly and ice fishing, running, triathlon and cross-country skiing are all things the family actually does — so that's what's on the floor, and that's what the advice is based on.

It also means the person who sells you the ski is the person who services it, on a bench in the same building.

What's in the shop

Two seasons, one shop, one bench

Mountain bikes

Bikes for Bulkley Valley dirt — chosen by people who ride the same trails you do.

Road bikes

Road setups for Highway 16 miles, sold and serviced under one roof.

The workshop

A full service workshop in the shop — the people who sell you the bike are the people who fix it.

Fly & ice fishing

Fly fishing through the open season, ice fishing once the lakes go hard.

Running & triathlon

Running and triathlon gear, stocked because the shop races too.

Cross-country skis

Track and backcountry cross-country skis — sold, serviced and rented.

The rental fleet

The valley's cross-country rental fleet

A full cross-country ski rental fleet lives here — three levels of ski, from a get-out-there setup to performance classic and skate. Whether you're visiting for a weekend or trying the sport for a season, this is where the skis come from.

  • Basic non-wax
  • Performance waxable classic
  • Performance skate

Rental rates aren't published — call (250) 847-5009 for current rates and availability.

Three ways to get on snow

Pick your ski

Basic non-wax

Waxless-base classic skis — the straightforward option when you just want to get out on the tracks without fussing over kick wax.

Performance waxable classic

Classic skis for skiers who wax for the day’s conditions and want a faster, more responsive ski underfoot.

Performance skate

Skate skis for groomed skate lanes — the fleet’s fastest end, for skiers who already know the technique.

The shop doesn't publish rental pricing anywhere, so nothing here is invented. A real build should put current rates, sizes and availability on this page — it's the single biggest thing a skier planning a trip is looking for.

Masters ski program

Wednesday nights, January to March

The shop runs a Masters ski program that runs January to March on Wednesday nights. If you've been meaning to get your technique sorted — or just ski with other adults once a week through the dark months — this is the one to ask about.
